LEONARD J. ALTAMURA
Leonard J. Altamura has been practicing law for more than 30 years. Throughout his years of practice, Mr. Altamura has handled a great variety of cases including personal injuries, medical malpractice, defective products and machineries, business and real estate transactions, family disputes, criminal cases, municipal court cases, estates and many others. Whatever the size of his cases big or small, Mr. Altamura seeks to achieve excellence in all of them and treat each client with the courtesy, dignity and the respect they deserve.
Mr. Altamura was born in Italy and at the age of 17, he migrated to the United States with his whole family, which included his parents, three boys and three girls. Two of the boys went on to become lawyers and one to become a physician. This land has been good to the Altamura family and Leonard has tried in all his years of practice to assist his clients, mostly immigrants, in all of their legal needs.
In 1996, Mr. Altamura took on Mr. Richard P. Crossin as his partner. Mr. Crossin had until then focused on a criminal law practice in Brooklyn, N.Y. He brought his valuable knowledge and experience to the Altamura Law Office. Today, the Law Office of Altamura and Crossin has the combined knowledge and experience to serve you efficiently and competently. We take pride in our work; our clients’ satisfaction is our priority.
Mr. Altamura is the recipient of numerous civic awards and is co-founder of Inter-Cities Performing Arts, Inc., a not for profit organization dedicated to improving human relations in the world through the arts. Mr. Altamura is a member of the N.J. Association for Justice, the N.J. State Bar Association, and former President of the North Hudson Lawyers Club.
